A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. -Robert Frost

haiku (traces)

sometimes when i write
i turn into a fog; then
stream into the sky.

the words are star’s light,
all sparkling in my mind. so
i wish, and trace them.

Her grave soul forgot

All the mosaics she left

Under her bed sheets

Colors

haimynameisku:

Brush away the dust,

Turn the key—open the lid—

Let the colors out.

Maybe I’m not attracted to your looks
But what’s inside your soul that shines through
The type of shine that makes you wanna look twice
Take a second glimpse, and really just soak it all in.

Maybe it’s not the way you walk but the way you hold yourself
The attitude and sharpness of your movement
The way your hips move with purpose
The gentile being of you.

Maybe it’s not your voice but the crisp meaningful words that expel
The simple phrases that make me want to melt
Or the words that you can feel the emotion even with a poker face
The words you can feel in your veins, thriving through every inch of you.

Or maybe it’s all of it
All of the bits and pieces that make up you really truly make up you
Without them, it wouldn’t be you
And without you, I wouldn’t know what love is.

Thrill

Maybe the kisses

were sweeter back then, or have

they just lost the thrill?

Sex

whisperingsyllables:

Words can’t describe how

the simple feeling of skin

on skin excites me.

Absent

whisperingsyllables:

Absence makes the heart

grow fonder, I might love you

More when you are gone

whisperingsyllables:

I stretch my hand forth,

attempting to bridge all of

the uncertainty,

the pain and regret,

to rectify with just a

simple brush of skin.

Little Pleasures

You tucked the loose strands

behind my ear and cupped my

face, smiling at me.

-

“You make me happy”

And in that moment, I could

not have asked for more.

Ever notice heart
ends in art? The foundation,
if without, seizes.
